Hooray, the best girl is here! This was honestly a pretty good chapter all around. One of the little touches that I really like is the DP System eating the chocolate part that regular Nona doesn't eat.

And for anyone wondering "Didn't Nona tell Vernois that Haruto was her husband in chapter 11?" it ends up that I missed that inconsistency when I first read this part (I'll admit I was still kind of skimming at this point), so I didn't notice Vernois's comment in this chapter, or her explanation in the next chapter (that Nona used the term "shujin" which can also mean "master" which is how Vernois interpreted it). I'll be localizing that line in the next chapter thanks to that flub (I don't know how I would've properly translated it in the first place anyways), just so you know.

Honestly, the first time I read this chapter I thought it was pretty cool, but now that I think of it, I feel like Haruto is kind of a jerk for simply letting it happen, among other reasons. Well, he isn't exactly the most likeable character to begin with, so I'll let it slide.

That line at the in is taken directly from Dragon Quest, but since the original English translation didn't imply anything ("Good morning. Thou has had a good night's sleep I hope.") I had to modify it a bit. Speaking of which, there's a manga of the same name (Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne) that is pretty good from what I've read despite essentially being an ad for the Dragon Quest MMO. It's strange that nobody has translated it yet.

I watched the second episode of the anime the other day, and it's a little strange how they rushed right into chapter 5 when the end of chapter 4 was a perfect stopping point. Also, what's the deal with Mikoto appearing so early? I sure hope they don't plan to cram everything into 12 episodes, because that'll make it really hard for me to keep up... Well, if there's enough differences, then it'll be fine.

Also, I'm proud(?) to announce that I'm selling out by hopping onto Patreon. I'll be releasing chapters of this series as well as Taiga on there a little early, and I'm also planning to let supporters help decide what series I translate next in the future. The release pace of these series will not be compromised by this decision (Taiga will actually be released more frequently this way), and I plan to continue working on other series without any monetization (both current series like Memeko as well as some future series). If any of you are interested, then I'd be grateful for the support.

Well, the first episode of the anime adaptation came out yesterday, and I didn't realize that it would have 12 minute episodes. It only covered the first 2 chapters of the manga, so my rush of daily releases was much ado about nothing, haha. Knowing that, I'm going to be relaxing the release pace just a bit to make room for my usual projects. Something like a chapter every other day.

If Haruto didn't like Ozma's image as a tentacle porn robot, then why does he have a doujinshi of that exact thing? It made me even wonder if I was missing something, but I guess it's not that absurd. If you're a big enough fan of a series, you might go for things that you wouldn't normally just because it involves said series. The fact that it's much easier to buy doujinshi in Japan than in other countries means less reasons to not go for it, too. I don't know, I'm overthinking this.
Only two more days until the anime starts, so I'm hoping to get the next 3 chapters out before then, either in a triple release or a single-double on Friday/Saturday. Then I can rest easy for a little while...

I wanted to release these two chapters together no matter what, so that readers wouldn't get the wrong idea about where the story was going. But then again, if the release rate is going to be so fast, does it really matter?
In any case, I had to tussle with some localization questions, specifically Haruto's self-proclaimed title as "do-mania" (どマニア, literally "total maniac"). It was a little difficult because it turns into a general title that isn't attached to any specific series, but I settled on "ultra fanboy." I can't wait for the anime to come out so I can see how the licensor/fansubbers deal with it.

P.S. Nona's huge smile in the bonus 4 panel comic is precious. I love it.

I flip-flopped over whether I wanted to do this or not many times because it's not really that great, but after buying and reading all of the original series, it had enough endearing moments that I figured I might as well. The main reason why I wanted to start this now and at the same time didn't want to start it at all is because of the anime series that will start airing in a couple days. In the end, I think that the challenge of trying to stay one step ahead of the subs will be an enriching experience (and maybe garner a little attention). And for that reason, I will be focusing on this series as much as I can until I can create a buffer between me and the anime. The first episode airs in about 3 days, and will likely cover anywhere from 3 to 5 chapters, so I have my work cut out for me...
