Tokyo Game ch19

DL
While Dr. Godot isn't such a formidable opponent compared to previous ones, the final hand in this chapter is a thing of beauty.

Tokyo Game ch18

DL
This is it, the final battle. Given how many chapters are left, there's no way it can match the excitement of the game against Samurai, but it seems like we'll be in for just a little more crazy mahjong.

Tokyo Game ch17

Blue Star's hand might be the largest ever in a mahjong manga. Even if you search the point value itself on Google, the only results you get are Japanese forum threads discussing the series.

Tokyo Game ch16

DL
To be honest, the most impressive thing about Aotenjou in manga isn't the ridiculous hands that people make, but the mental math it takes to calculate the point values of those hands.

Tokyo Game ch15

DL

Bet none of you were expecting this, eh? I actually started this chapter back in October of last year, and finished cleaning and translating it in March, but since I was so busy with Chou Kadou Girl, I didn't get around to typesetting it until now. I decided that I'm going to focus on finishing my old 2018 projects so that I'll be able to move on to new projects without any baggage. That's also where those two Munko double releases came from, so those interested in these series can look forward to more where that came from.

My Home ch17 + Rep Player's Daughter oneshot

DL
120/365

In a rare convergence of manga and reality, the last chapter in this volume coincides with this year's Golden Week. Mildly cool if you ask me. And with it comes an extra oneshot that was published in Kindai Mahjong (the home of Akagi until it finished, as well as a multitude of other mahjong manga classics). It's pretty funny given that it's a 4-koma manga that doesn't have any actual mahjong in it, but at the same time, it's probably better than some of the other things that have been published in the magazine recently, haha. Also there's currently two 4-koma series being published in Kinma as of now (Jansou no Saeko-san and Hakkun), so it's not exactly a foreign concept. Anyways, I've rambled on for too long. See you next time!

It's been a long time since we had some good old yelling and hollering. I'm glad that I can finally crack out the screaming font again.

Man, Tori is getting wrecked so badly. Remember when he was like the strongest guy in Angolmois City? At least Blue Star is finally here to save the day.

Tokyo Game ch12

DL
81/365

Finally, the match against Samurai begins! This time they're playing with Aotenjou rules, which you might recognize from Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku or that one Touhou mahjong game. Enjoy watching the game completely disconnect from common sense as the points rocket into the stratosphere.

Tokyo Game ch11

DL
67/365

Just as Blue Star says, this will be the last resting point before we sprint to the end. Ironically, on the actual Palm Sunday we'll be deep into the upcoming battle with Samurai. I'm going to try to get those chapters out quicker because it's the longest match in the whole series, but there's also more redraws to do, so things might just proceed as normal. In any case, it'll be something to look forward to.

Mahjong of the North Star ch5

DL
58/365

I know that the focus is mostly on Hokuto and Nanto right now, but Hoshino has quickly become my favorite character in this mess. His checkered jacket looks more like hipster flannel in a lot of shots which gives him an unintentional slacker kind of look, and he's always got the most insane, completely ridiculous theories.

Tokyo Game ch10

It's official: Blue Star has gone soft. Or perhaps he was just a hard-ass in the first couple chapters? Not that I mind. And thus volume 1 is complete. I'll have a download link to the entire volume on the projects page soon.

Man, I've never seen someone so nonchalant about getting tenhou'd. Blue Star is crazy.

Man, Tori really stole the show for me. So many good facial expressions.

Mahjong of the North Star ch4

Well, you can't have a Hokuto without a Nanto. And thus the power levels grow to even more absurd heights.

Tokyo Game ch7

Looks like this round ended non-violently. It's almost weird to think that he was just killing people in the early chapters. Anyways, the next mahjong chapter will be North Star, and after that I'll make a push to finish the first volume.

Tokyo Game ch6

Blue Star and Tori face their toughest challenge yet: math! And it was my toughest challenge yet as well... I did the best that I could to make sure that all the terms thrown around made sense.

This chapter is all about Tori. It's hard to believe that he's only 15, he's been through a lot.

Mahjong of the North Star ch3

DL

They may refer to it as luck all the time, but really it's the same old concept of "flow" that you'll see in every other mahjong manga. I wonder if that was just in vogue at the time, or if this manga is just an outlier.
