Sousei no Taiga ch19 + Maya-san no Yofukashi ch2

DL Taiga
DL Maya

The picture is from Maya-san, but I'm only going to talk about Taiga. This multiple chapter thing is weird...

We're finally at volume 3, and that is a very emphatic "finally" because this is where (in my opinion) the story actually becomes interesting. I'm an absolute sucker for interactions involving language/culture barriers, and reading these chapters over a year ago is the only reason why I picked up the series in the first place. Well, more specifically it was because the dialogue from the girl is in fact comprehensible, and I didn't want another group to unknowingly butcher it. You're not supposed to be able to understand what she's saying, but all will become clear after the jump...

So yeah, she's just speaking in pidgin Swahili. I primarily used enacademic's Swahili-English dictionary and occasionally the Oxford Living Dictionary. Obviously I don't know a lick of Swahili, so I'll admit that this won't be perfect, but you'll definitely be able to get the gist of what she's saying.
