Remember that crossover chapter from volume 2 of Miyoko? Well, this is where Mai's story all began. The art's a little wonky at first because this is one of Munko's earliest series (these prologue chapters are almost 15 years old now), but I hope that fans of Miyoko will be able to enjoy this one as well.

Finally, the match against Samurai begins! This time they're playing with Aotenjou rules, which you might recognize from Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku or that one Touhou mahjong game. Enjoy watching the game completely disconnect from common sense as the points rocket into the stratosphere.

Namihei's gone wild! And along with the bounty of bento comes a bounty of crossovers in this chapter. Memeko takes center stage, though there's also some dialogue with the cast of Hyper Shoujo Ukkii, as well as a single cameo from Datte Aishiteru.

P.S. The "trick" that Darling's friend is doing in the extra comic is performing Pink Lady's song UFO, which features a full dance routine. You can check out a video of the song and dance here.

I'm not gonna lie, this is the one time where I didn't like how the drama was handled; it really caught me off guard. That being said, I feel like it was handled exactly how this series would've handled it, so I'm not too sour about it.

Just as Blue Star says, this will be the last resting point before we sprint to the end. Ironically, on the actual Palm Sunday we'll be deep into the upcoming battle with Samurai. I'm going to try to get those chapters out quicker because it's the longest match in the whole series, but there's also more redraws to do, so things might just proceed as normal. In any case, it'll be something to look forward to.

Were you expecting Tokyo Game? Yeah, so was I. I've been getting lazy though, so I'm making a compromise: I'm going to work on just Miyoko for a while before going back to the longer mahjong series.
Anyways, this chapter is all about Hayashida. Once again there was a reference to an old commercial (this commercial about beef), but I couldn't localize it properly since the joke is just the yodeling, so I left it out.
